A Member who loses an AFL Membership card will be provided with a new card upon providing notice to the AFL and after payment of a card replacement fee of $10.
AFL Membership cards and associated benefits are for personal use only and may not be transferred to another person under any circumstances. Lending an AFL Membership card, or in any other way transferring AFL Membership benefits to another person, is a breach of these Terms and Conditions. Penalties may apply (including downgrading or cancellation of an AFL Membership). Regular ID checks will be carried out at AFL Venues, and online sale website searches will be conducted to detect any breaches of this condition. The AFL Membership card remains the property of the AFL at all times.
AFL Memberships, AFL Reserve tickets and Guest Passes may not, without the prior written consent of the AFL, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via online auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission. Penalties apply (including cancellation of an AFL Membership without a refund).
Scalping warning: The resale of tickets in certain circumstances is governed by ticket sales legislation and may attract criminal penalties. Your Club Support Package covers the cost of entry for your club’s home matches. Your club (or your club’s home venue(s)) will determine seating requirements and may require you to reserve a seat at an additional cost (either seasonally through your club of support or for individual matches through a nominated ticket agency).
13.2. Unless you advise otherwise in your Membership application or renewal, by nominating a club of support you are agreeing to your personal details being forwarded to your club of support so that it may contact you for club or commercial purposes, including fulfilment packs, upgrade products and Finals Series access.
AFL Members will not be able to change their nominated club of support after 31 March 2024 but may opt out of receiving that club’s communications at any time.
14.1 Subject to these Terms and Conditions, AFL Memberships are non-refundable. Requests for refunds may be made in writing and, to the extent possible under law, are at the sole discretion of the AFL Membership Manager.
14.2 As a general policy, the AFL does not provide refunds for a change in personal circumstances. However, where an AFL Member is experiencing financial hardship as a result of a change in personal circumstances, the AFL Member may apply for financial relief in accordance with the AFL Membership Hardship Policy set out in clause 15 of these Terms and Conditions.
14.3 The AFL reserves its right to cancel an AFL Membership without a refund where the member is deemed by the AFL to have breached these Terms and Conditions (including where that member attempts to transfer or sell their AFL Membership and/or associated benefits).

The AFL has a strong stance on vilification and has a zero-tolerance for AFL Members or supporters who engage in conduct which may reasonably be considered to incite hatred towards, contempt for, ridicule of or discrimination against a person or group of persons (including the opposition, opposition supporters, or umpires) on the ground of their race, religion, gender, colour, sexual preference, orientation or identity, or special ability or disability.
AFL Members are expected to uphold the AFL Member Code of Conduct set out in this clause 17 at all times and in all forums, including on match days and on social media. Penalties may apply to AFL Members who breach the AFL Member Code of Conduct as set out in this clause 17 including cancellation of their AFL Membership without refund.

Gold Members must renew their membership prior to 31 May 2024 to maintain their Gold Membership entitlements for the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership Season. Due to limited availability of Gold Memberships, Gold Members who do not renew their AFL Membership as ‘Gold Members’ and downgrade their membership to a Silver Membership as referred to in clause 21.2, will then join a waitlist for Gold Membership with other Silver Members and will then only be eligible to obtain Gold Membership status when those memberships become available, and upon receiving an official offer of Gold Membership from the AFL. When issuing offers for new Gold Memberships, priority will be given to Silver Members based on their period of time spent on the waitlist.
21.2 Silver Membership: Silver Membership is available to all current AFL Members and, subject to availability, members of the general public seeking to purchase Silver Membership for the first time. New Silver Memberships are subject to a once off joining fee.

21.4 Family: To be eligible for an AFL family discount, there must be two full paying Gold or Silver Adult Members (Adult Members with no concessions or discounted Members) and one full fee-paying Junior or Student Member who resides at the same address. It is the responsibility of the eligible Members to opt-in to receive the relevant AFL family discount. The AFL will not provide any amounts in return for unclaimed family discounts from any prior periods where the Member has not opted-in to receiving the AFL family discount. Any additional Juniors will be provided with a complimentary AFL Membership upon payment of the new AFL Member fee if joining AFL Membership in 2024. No more than four Juniors can be linked to one family for the purposes of this discount. The AFL at its sole discretion retains its right to accept or reject requests for remuneration for unclaimed family discounts.

21.6 Under 7: An Under 7 Membership is available for children under the age of 7 as at 1 January 2024. A one-off new Member fee is payable upon joining. Membership will then be complimentary until the child reaches Junior Member status (see clause 21.5).
Upon becoming an Under 7 Member, the child will be placed on the waiting list for Gold Membership and receive an annual Under 7 Membership, giving them access to reserved seating (at a cost) in the AFL Reserve at the MCG and Marvel Stadium (subject to capacity). An Under 7 Membership provides access equivalent to an AFL Silver Membership, excluding club of support entitlement.
