Carlton and Richmond kick off the season once again in Round 1 Thursday night in what is set to be a packed MCG crowd. The traditional rivalries continue with early season contests against Collingwood and Essendon, setting the scene for some massive contests.

Collingwood’s season starts off with a bang as they face their 3 fiercest rivals in the first 6 rounds. A Friday night blockbuster against old foe Carlton will be sure to draw a big crowd. The Pies contest the traditional ANZAC Day clash against Essendon before looking to knock off reigning premiers Richmond just 4 days later.

Geelong will again feature in the Easter Monday fixture with a home game at the MCG against rivals Hawthorn. The Cats will contest other big games at the ‘G in the now annual country game against Essendon, while seeking revenge for their Week 1 Finals loss last season to Richmond in Round 13.

North Melbourne v St Kilda - GOOD FRIDAY            

North Melbourne will be looking to set up an annual rivalry against St Kilda as the two teams clash on Good Friday in 2018. The Roos will also hope to defeat fellow Victorian finals contenders in Hawthorn and Richmond in 2 blockbuster home games for the club.
